Brian Robson was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, U.K. where he studied art and design at the College of Arts & Technology in Bath Lane.
Relocating to London and working out of Covent Garden, he divided his time between painting hyper-realistic illustrative scenes for major advertising agencies across the European Union and creating his large expressive canvas paintings for private collectors.
His work took him overseas to a variety of places including California, Australia and New Zealand.
Eventually returning to America to work in the busy confines of the Chicago advertising community.
The artist completed an MFA at the prestigious American Academy of Art in Chicago obtaining a pass with highest honors.
In recent years he has taught Graphic Design at The Chicago High School for the Arts before accepting a full time position at the American Academy of Art in his adopted home of Chicago.
The artist now devotes all his time to his current studio in the Fine Arts Building on Michigan Avenue.
Several successful exhibitions resulted in commissions from many diverse private sources.
Private commissions are currently only undertaken for site-specific criteria.
